Choosing the Right Stool Height for Your Kitchen Bench

When shopping for stools, one of the most common questions we get is: "What height stool do I need for my kitchen bench?"

Here’s a simple guide to help:

Kitchen Counter or Bench Stools
These stools are typically around 65cm high (from the floor to the top of the seat). This height is ideal for standard kitchen benches, which are usually about 90cm tall. The 25–30cm difference provides enough legroom for comfortable seating.

Bar Stools
Bar stools are generally taller, sitting at around 75cm to the seat. These are designed for use at bar-height counters, which are usually about 105cm–110cm high.

Always check both the seat height of the stool and the height of your counter before purchasing. Measurements can vary slightly between manufacturers, so allow a few centimetres of flexibility.
