How to choose your stools
Things that you need to know and check before buying your stools.
1. Check your kitchen bench height. You will find below our recommended height for the average 90cm kitchen bench. Once you know the height of your bench you can choose a stools that will best suit your home. If you are finding it hard to find the right stool height for your kitchen, have a look at our gas lift stools. They are height adjustable so they can suit many heights.
2. Have an idea of what style you are going for in your home for example your home may have an industrial feel to it or you may have a modern feel to your home. By having an idea of what design you are after you will make your shopping experience quick and easy. If at any stage throughout your shopping experience you need any help why not give our friendly staff a call or email us through a photo of your kitchen and what style you would prefer and we will be more than happy to help you find a stool to suit your home.
3. Have an idea of what colour would suit your home the best. If you are looking for something neutral to blend in we find that white and black work really well. Or if you have an open plan living with other furniture you may want to match the colour of your new stools with your other furniture. You may be looking for something really out there with bright colours. By having an idea of what colour would work well you will find that your shopping experience will be quick and easy.
4. Have an idea of whether you would like to have a back on your stools or not. We find that a lot of the designers that buy through us try to go for stools that have no backs or a low back. The reason they do this is because they don't want the back to break the kitchen bench line. By the back not breaking the kitchen bench line it gives your kitchen clean lines making it feel more open and spacious, especially when you have an open plan living area. But we also find that a lot of our customers that love to host dinner parties and guests over regularly that they are looking for a stool with a back. The reason for this is because they find that the kitchen is where everyone tends to spend most of their time. By having a stool with a back their guests can sit back and relax with a nice cool beer or wine. By having an idea of which back would suit your needs better it will make your shopping experience quick and easy.
5. Check the description of the product you are looking at buying. We have found a few different companies advertising that their stools are PU Leather but there is no such this as PU Leather. PU is a vinyl which is a man made product where as leather is a animal product found from the hide of an animal eg cow or pig. You will find in our descriptions that products that have vinyl specify that it is vinyl. Make sure you know what you are buying before you buy it.
